Two Different Approaches
One Sec uses friction to slow you down. When you open a distracting app, it shows a breathing exercise that makes you pause before continuing. The idea is that this moment of reflection helps you decide if you really want to scroll.
ScrollBump uses timed breaks that are genuinely unskippable. Instead of a brief pause you can dismiss, ScrollBump enforces actual breaks based on your usage—and you can’t bypass them.
Why People Switch to ScrollBump
One Sec is a solid app, and the breathing exercise approach works for many people. But some users find that after a while, they start dismissing the exercises automatically without really thinking.
ScrollBump’s unskippable breaks don’t give you that option. When your break starts, you wait. There’s no workaround.
The Free Tier Difference
One Sec’s free tier is limited. ScrollBump’s free tier includes:
- Unlimited break rules
- Unlimited apps to restrict
- Accountability partners
- Custom shield designs
- Full control over time limits and break durations
You only need ScrollBump Pro for advanced rules like location-based triggers and day-of-week scheduling.
